A perfect place for family and group outing. Offers a two in one activity; cook and eat together, a fun way to spend time together. Halal, clean, comfortable and hygienic ambience. 6% Service Tax

Oh my, come every prepaid user rush to the nearest shop that sells your respective telcos recharge cards!!

You’re most probably know what I meant by the so call shout out above. From 15th September onwards, 6% service tax will be imposed on purchases of prepaid starter pack and recharge cards. So, for example buying a RM10 recharge card with the additional of RM0.60 of service tax, you will need to pay RM10.60 .

kaacchiinggg!! There goes the pocket money...

Why oh why??

Actually, service tax for mobile services has been implemented in 1998 but the telcos said they had absorbed the tax since the introduction of the Service Tax Act 1975.

The service tax was raised from 5% to 6% effective January 2011. Majority of telcos’ customers in Malaysia are prepaid users and the number is increasing. Therefore, in a joint statement, telco companies decided to impose the 6% service tax on their prepaid customers. This is to ensure prepaid services remain competitive compared with postpaid, given the high prepaid rates for both calls and SMS at its onset.

Prevent & Fighting Cancer?

Green tea is rich with catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin galatte (EGCG). EGCG is a powerful anti-oxidant which does not only inhibit the growth of cancer cells, it also kills cancer cells without harming healthy tissues. How does it works? EGCG stops cancer cells from growing by binding with an enzyme called dihydrofolate reductase in the body. Scientists discover that EGCG kills cancer the same way as the cancer drug does but lesser side effects. These findings have promoted studies about EGCG based cancer treatment. However, studies are inconclusive and more research has to be done as to which extent does green tea prevent or fight cancer.

Though, there’s no harm in making it as your tea rut, just one of those healthy stuffs. Let’s brew up a cup of green tea!!

Ice Hockey In Shock

A sad and tragic day in the history of the Russian’s Ice Hockey. A private Russian plane carrying their top ice hockey team to its first game of the season crashed into a river bank after a few minutes take off last Wednesday, killing 43 people leaving 2 people both in grave condition.

Of the 43 people killed, 27 players of the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl team, along with 2 coaches and 7 club officials. While a player Alexander Galimov and a crew member were hospitalized. Among the dead were Lokomotiv coach and NHL veteran Brad McCrimmon, a Canadian; assistant coach Alexander Karpovtsev and Pavol Demitra. Other standouts killed were Czech players Josef Vasicek, Karel Rachunek, and Jan Marek, Swedish goalie Stefan Liv, Latvian defenseman Karlis Skrastins and defenseman Ruslan Salei of Belarus.

The plane was scheduled from Yaroslavl to Minsk, where they were supposed to play against Dinamo Minsk in the opening game of the Kontinental Hockey League season. It is reported that the Yak-42 plane struggled to gain altitude a few minutes after takeoff and hit a signal tower before breaking into pieces in the Volga River near Yaroslavl, 240 kilometres northeast of Moscow.

“This is the darkest day in the history of our sport,” said Rene Fasel, president of the International Ice Hockey Federation. “This is not only a Russian tragedy – the Lokomotiv roster included players and coaches from 10 nations.”

This tragedy however, draws attention to the poor air safety records of Russia and other former Soviet republics.

Shock and stunned by the news. Deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to the ones involved. We hope that comfort and peace may come to you.

Glory Glory Man Utd

Glory Glory Man United!

Champion of Barclays premier league last season, let see if the team capable of repeating last season result, or is it gonna be better this time around.

New signing:

David De Gea (GK)

Phill Jones (CB)

Ashley Young (Winger)

From recent form, they look really good, especially after thumping although weaken Arsenal side, 8-2. Sir Alex has few tweak here and there, as we can see, line up for most of the match this season has lots of new faces and changes.

The usual line up this month:

David De Gea

Chris Smalling |Phill Jones / Johny Evans | Vidic| Evra

Nani |Anderson | cleverley | Young

Rooney| Welbeck

Injury:

Welbeck recently got injured, hamstring

Ferdinand still out

Fletcher is coming around just recently.

Pros:

Best thing about this line up are the creativity it have, they are also versatile too.

Anderson has been improving a lot, stronger, more accurate and creative.

New blood in team, cleverly, Ashley young, smalling and phill jones have been impressive, they look fit right into it already, although some improvement can be made. The best part is they all still young.

Man Utd still has Valencia, Hernandez, the legend Giggs, Ferdinand, Park, the twin, Carrick and berbatov, although the relationship between berbatov and sir alex seems to be falling out.

Rooney as always looks good and alive, he looks hungry!

Cons:

Still lacks of experience and consistency.

De Gea looks shaky behind.

Partnership at the back 4 is still loose.

After an impressive form, welbeck got injured.

Nani seems out of place sometimes, too selfish

Still missing scholes magic pass.

Men to watch:

As always, Rooney will be the center of attention as a lot of creativity and magic will be anticipated from him.

Deciding factor:

Rooney needs a striking partner, who has better understanding and can set him up as well, who’s it gonna be? Hernandez shown last season that his up to it.

Approaching the game. It seems last time when man utd met barca, they do try their best to take on their opponent with their own style and they lost. This time around, can they flourish and bring on a new style of play to beat the chemistry if they face them up again?

We’ll see what they are made of later on when the fixtures started to cramp up, champions league, fa cup, carling cup and international duty.

Hantu Bonceng

Cast: Zizan Raja Lawak

: Juliana Evans

Director: Ahmad Idham

Synopsis: an illegal racer has to get his way back to redemption after misfortune of being haunted by a girl who is accidentally killed in an accident, on his motorcycle.

My view:

Well this trend keeps on going, horror- comedy genre, as it has been highly anticipated by movie watcher in Malaysia. You have to open up your mind, not be too critical and just get along with it if you want to enjoy this movie, else don’t watch it.

Unfortunately this movie does reflect conflicting ideas and confusing information generally to the teenagers, about witchcraft, applying Islamic point of view and it does give bad example especially on children.

Rating:

4/10

Highlight:

Its actually in the trailer where Zizan went totally naked just to get rid of the ghost.

Man to watch for:

Not Zizan, but he’s sidekick which I can’t remember his name, giving edge and colour to the plot.

Tagline:

Gegirrrlll!

Bobooyy!

Toooookkk!

Hope this help, enjoy!

Fasting in Syawal ( puasa 6)

PUASA 6( fasting for 6 days in Syawal)

Puasa 6 is fasting for 6 days in Syawal, a month after fasting in ramadhan. This deed is highly encouraged by our beloved prophet nabi Muhammad S.A.W. There are lots of benefits that you can get by doing puasa 6, one of the best benefit is described below in this hadith:

Daripada Abu Ayub r.a. bahawa Rasulullah SAW. bersabda, Sesiapa yang berpuasa di bulan Ramadhan, kemudian mengiringinya dengan puasa sunat enam hari di bulan Syawal, pahalanya seperti berpuasa setahun.

Source: http://www.islam.gov.my/e-hadith/sunat-berpuasa-enam-hari-di-bulan-syawal

For people who don’t understand malay, basically the hadith is saying that when muslim did fast for a month in ramadhan and another 6 days in Syawal, the reward (pahala) that you get will be equal to reward as if you are fasting for a year.

Fasting in ramadhan = 10 months of reward

Fasting in syawal for 6 days= 2 months of reward

For most women, you have to replace fasting that you miss on ramadhan, as you have to do what is compulsory first, therefore be sure to replace it first, don’t worry, the reward will be double, one for replacement and another one for fasting in syawal.

This fasting for 6 days in syawal is good practice, as most of us are already stuff out eating on eid and open houses, giving digestion system a rest, and a good reminder for us of our brothers and sisters who are not lucky enough to celebrate and have tons of food during Eid month.

Hope you guys take advantage of it!

Fantasy Premier League

Fantasy Premier League

As new season kick off, so does fantasy premier league. Most who watch football should know or at least have the idea of it, for people who don’t know, fantasy premier league is a game where you act as a manager and choose 15 players. Each game week you will be rewarded with points, based on how your selected players perform in real match.

Above is an example of a team, it's actually mine, not bad eh?

You are only allowed to make 1 transfer each week, and total value of your team has to be equal or below 100 million. If you want to transfer more than allowed, your point will be deducted, 4 or I think.

Tips:

I am not that good about it, but here’s some advice I can give regarding to it:

- Always pick player who are going to play each week ( starting 11)

- Consistency is important, it does not matter if the player your choosen drop point sometimes as it happens to others as well, choose player who is consistent

- Scouting, take a look at others team, and check out the highest of the week and the most valuable team.

- Check game week frequently, so that you can make a prediction who’s going to perform or not, and which player got injured.

- Stick to 4-4-2 / 5-3-2/5-3-1/5-4-1, as you can see above, defenders have the most probability to get point, and its kinda hard to predict forward who’s score at that particular gameweek, unless Ronaldo is playing ( well he went to Madrid of course).

- choose defender who has higher probability of scoring and/or assist.

- choose a freekicker, penalty taker, captain, corner kicker, or players who always give an impact to the game.

Here’s a brief description of points awarded and point lost:

To all players:

For playing up to 60 minutes

1

For each assist

3

For playing 60 minutes or more

2

For each penalty miss

-2

Bonus points for the best players in a match

1-3

For each yellow card -3 -2

-1

For each red card

-3

For each own goal

-2

Goalkeeper:

Clean sheet

4

Penalty save

5

For every 2 goals conceded

-1

For every 3 shot saves

1

Defender:

Clean sheet

4

Goal

6

For every 2 goals conceded

-1

Midfielder:

Clean sheet

1

Goal

5

Forward:

Goal

4

That’s all I can say for now, hope this is useful and good luck!:)
